PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 BLINDLY STARING INTO SPACE

Remember our last season,
When we held each other tight?
Knowing it would be our last,
Everything was right.

You told me that you loved me.
I’d always be your hon’.
For all eternity,
As long as there’s a sun.

But then one day, I found you
Lying on our bed.
I lay down beside you,
And knew that you were dead.

Where did all the years go?
They passed so quickly by.
The love I’d known was gone now,
In the twinkling of an eye.

Where were you when I needed you?
Where were you yesterday?
My eyesight has now faded,
And I have lost my way.

When we were young I loved you;
So many years gone by.
The grass was green upon the hill
The year we said goodbye.

My years are growing shorter now.
I know you’ll come my way,
When I look upon your face
On my own passing day.
